Injection Tracker
App
The Injection Tracker app is meant to help patients keep track of their regular medication easier. It would also enable a way for them to keep a diary of symptoms and side effects, and also get in touch and remember their appointments with their doctors. This app is meant to be part of a integrated medical ecosystem that enables a closer relationship between patient and doctor.
Development Process
The first step in developing this app was to take a look at how other daily habbit tracking apps, such as diet apps, fitness apps etc. encourage users to keep coming back. What I discovered is that they use a combination of usefull features mixed with Gamification elements such as streaks to make the user come back to the app. After the step of conducting a competitite analysis, I started slowly building userflows for different user goals.
Final Design
The final app design featured a homescreen with two major CTAs that would help users complete their main goals, but also a indicator of the number of days they logged their medication into the app. This was added to motivate users to return to the app and add their symptoms so that their doctors could have a more complete picture of the way they responded to the medicine (this feature can be disabled in the options). The app had some secondary features such as a section with relevant articles (about healthy foods, or exercise routines) that could be saved for later reading.
