Contact Management
Tool
The Contact Management Tool was an internal project at first that later became a product. The marketing team needed a better way of managing and keeping track of campaigns, accounts and most importantly the contacts that they were including in marketing activities. After finding out more about their process and needs, it became clear that this tool was going to be far more complex than I initially estimated. It had allow the user to see all the relationships between Contacts, Accounts, Campaigns and Activities, and even provide a Reporting capability.
Development Process
Because of the complexity of the app I had to start from simple wireframes, containing only the main user flows and actions, and work my way up to adding new features and new user flows, while constantly communicating with the members of the marketing team and asking for input and feedback.
Final Design
While working on this app certain the need for other features arose and were added, such as the ability for communication about accounts, campaigns or contacts directly in the tool.
Because of the way the marketing team conducted their daily activities, the ability to use the tool on smaller screen devices like tablets or smaller laptops while not losing any of the productivity was very important. As a result of theese needs two more layouts were also delivered for smaller screens and tablets for the tool.
